Wanderlust
SushiSundae is a personal journal of Sushi's internal monologues on about everything, verses that she calls psuedo-poetry, a random lyric from a song (that probably means something to her), sometimes a make-up review; and often- photographs of food, fashion and everything cutesy.

The Little Miss
Sushi is a 22-year-old Gemini and a Broadcast Journalism graduate who (now) wants to work in the medical field someday. She loves writing poetry, milk tea, make-up, the gyaru lifestyle, korean pop, japanese food, chick flicks, boots, ribbon rings, coding, John Mayer, coffee shops and countrysides. She works with clothes, dreams of clothes and if clothes can be eaten, she'll have a plateful for breakfast. She's currently living in California but misses her MNL life (and bedroom) tremendously.

Inspired by my good friend Caramel’s.

Tol your bucket list’s fun and exciting! Go and make each come true! Thanks for this idea, I have to agree that in order to have things really done— they have to be feasible, fascinating and fun; the purpose of bucket lists, exactly.

My 2012 Bucket List

Independence

Learn how to drive.

  • Suck it in and suck it up, self! Haha! There’s no time and no reason not to ever learn how to drive. Nada. It’s essential to humanity. Anyhoo, you really need it to survive and advance in a place like this. Get your butt on the freeway too; and the next thing you’ll know… driving will be second nature to you.

Find a better paying job.

  • I want to be able to buy and pay for my own phone line, starting this year.
  • I also want to find a job that can help pay off my family’s living expenses.

Apply to a college for fall.

  • I’m still thinking whether I should go for BSN or something to do with nutrition (clinical dietitian).

Save.

  • Transfer at least a hundred on my savings account every payday (I just did! *u*), and increase the amount to transfer when my paycheck allows me to.

Skin and Health

  • Build my skin care routine and be faithful to it. I already found the cleanser that works best for me (the original formula of Neutrogena).
  • Find a good moisturizer for my normal to dry skin.
  • Be diligent with lotions every after bath!
  • Invest in a really good sunscreen for face and body.
  • Always eat green leafy veggies and fruits!
  • Make vitamins a daily part of my diet.
  • Have at least a running routine once or twice a week.
  • Have a legit sleeping routine!! Haha. Early to bed, early to rise!
  • I want to try the Pescatarian (with dairy) lifestyle for the whole month of January.

Fun and Leisure!

Read more books and start my book collection.

I have this flighty relationship with reading! When I was younger, it was all I ever did. Give me books to read during summer, and I’ll love you forever! But when I got into high school and college, I slowly shifted away from it… it’s only recently that I found myself immersed and happy with books again.

Book I’m reading right now:

  • Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert

Book pending to be read:

  • Going Home by Harriet Evans

I still don’t have a list of other books to read, so I’ll still have to research about it next week. :D

Girly Stuff!

  • Invest on a really good set of make-up brushes.
  • Invest on a good neutral eye palette - I’m eyeing Urban Decay’s Naked palette! I’ll save up for it. :D
  • Start my Japanese magazine collection.
  • I really wanna be Gyaru! Haha! Master Deichan, please help me with this! T^T
  • Always dress up. As Coco Chanel said, “I don’t understand how a woman can leave the house without fixing herself up a little - if only out of politeness. And then, you never know, maybe that’s the day she has a date with destiny. And it’s best to be pretty as possible for destiny.”

Travel.

  • Go to IMATS (International Make-up Artist Trade Show) this June 23/24 at Pasadena.
  • Visit San Diego.
  • Visit Las Vegas again.

And lastly, the most important mantra of all:

Turn everything into something positive. Live with optimism. :)
