Wanderlust
SushiSundae is a personal journal of Sushi's internal monologues on about everything, verses that she calls psuedo-poetry, a random lyric from a song (that probably means something to her), sometimes a make-up review; and often- photographs of food, fashion and everything cutesy.

The Little Miss
Sushi is a 22-year-old Gemini and a Broadcast Journalism graduate who (now) wants to work in the medical field someday. She loves writing poetry, milk tea, make-up, the gyaru lifestyle, korean pop, japanese food, chick flicks, boots, ribbon rings, coding, John Mayer, coffee shops and countrysides. She works with clothes, dreams of clothes and if clothes can be eaten, she'll have a plateful for breakfast. She's currently living in California but misses her MNL life (and bedroom) tremendously.

I had a bad day yesterday at work, so bad that I locked myself in a state of I-don’t-want-to-talk-to-anyone last night. I wouldn’t go in details anymore, because that was then anyway; and today’s a new day (it’s about to end also!) and there’s just no room for a yesterday’s-workday hangover.

Instead, I thought that I need a list of goals and a make-over to help me refocus my self-esteem and my outlook, that today, I went to had my hair cut and my nails done. A little pampering truly helped me feel lighter; and now on to the list…

Since I’m an avid fan of making-to-do lists, today I’m making a set of everyday goals (not to be mistaken as rules… because the word “rules” is not so enticing); that I need to fulfill and write an obligatory weekly entry on how I managed through.

  • Skip the morning coffee, seriously. Even if I get CBTL discounts, it still adds up! I’m still in this state of deep belief that coffee helps me concentrate— that shouldn’t be the case. Alternative: Wake up earlier so I could enjoy a warm bath longer instead— it would definitely help me feel focused and rejuvenated to start the day. The short-I’m-in-a-rush showers certainly wouldn’t be enough.
  • Pack lunch and water. I’m on a good track of packing my lunch, but I always forget to pack my own beverage that I’d end up buying anyway.
  • No unnecessary spending. It’s still the case of Need vs. Want. Do I suddenly need a top because it’s priced at $5.00? No. Do I need to save money for my own phone line? Yes. Case closed.
  • Eat Healthier. I need to stop the late-night-I-deserve-a-full-meal-because-I’m-tired routine. Incorporate more fruits and veggies; lessen the carbs and drink more water!
  • Skip the mid-day random coffee break — and schedule a Panera Bread Once a Week instead. I get two-days off a week from work usually, and I would often spend it at a coffee shop to go online anyway, so why not schedule it once a week instead of the random coffee-shop expenses? I’m super in love with Panera bread right now! They have yummier teas and a wider variety of healthy choices than the others; plus free wi-fi! This will definitely be a lovely incentive to look forward to every work week!
  • Wear lipstick. Just because.

I’ll leave myself a note that tomorrow is always a clean slate you can create beautiful art with; yesterday’s mistakes are tomorrow’s great changes.
